Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close processes, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
• Analyze financial data and investigate accounting discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Support external audits and provide requested documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
