This position is part of our hybrid onsite/work from home business model. Once fully trained (6 months) this will be approximately 25% onsite and 75% work from home. On site requirement is located at: 2700 West Frye Road Chandler, AZ 85224

As a Pharmacist for our Specialty Mail Service Pharmacy, you will have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals while providing leadership and guidance to supporting staff. Our Pharmacists ensure the accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care services, which include drug therapy monitoring, patient education, drug information and chronic disease state management for our clinical programs. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines.
• Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications.
• Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications.
• Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related problems specific to specialty medications.
• Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans.
• Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies.
• Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications.
• Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Current Pharmacist License in good standing in State of Arizona.
• Reside in the State of Arizona within commutable distance of Chandler, AZ.
• Six months pharmacy experience.
• Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licenses in other states desirable.
• Prefer Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions.

• Advanced digital literacy skills.

Education

• Bachelor's / Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40

Time Type: Full time

Pay Range: $50.48 - $84.62
