Job Title: Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVOR RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7a to 7p) Experience: Two years of operating room experience preferred License: RN License (NY License only) Certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association only) Must-Have: Ability to function independently as RN circulator for complex cardiac cases Description: The Cardiac Operating Room cares for a wide variety of patients. Procedures include CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure management such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. A multidisciplinary approach is employed to care for patients of all ages. The role requires the ability to independently function as an RN circulator for complex adult cardiac cases. Cases may include CABGs, structural heart procedures, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases. Experience in heart transplants is preferred. All candidates must possess a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, and demonstrate the ability to scrub and circulate.
