The Cornell University Athletic Ticketing operation provides our guests with the highest quality fan experience in a safe, clean, comfortable and friendly environment. Our goal is to make every event a positive and friendly experience with the objective that our guests leave with lasting memories and a desire to return.

The Temporary Ticketing and Guest Services Assistant position supports athletic event operations by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with game day ticketing operations. Responsibilities include selling and processing event tickets through a point-of-sale system, collecting and scanning admission tickets and passes, providing directions and assistance to guests, and helping to maintain a safe, organized, and enjoyable event experience. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and the ability to professionally enforce event policies and procedures while creating a positive experience for event attendees.

*Pay: $16.00/hour. Please note that this is a casual position (average of 19 hours or less per week) and is not eligible for benefits or visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to operate iPads, computers, and payment processing equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to provide support for athletic events throughout the academic year (September through May).
• Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and other hours as needed to support scheduled events.
• Ability to remain standing for extended periods in both indoor and outdoor environments, including during inclement weather when required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of event policies and procedures and consistently enforce them to promote a safe and positive experience for all patrons.
• Ability to complete required Workday training modules before the first event shift.
• Respond to and resolve event-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience.
