Chief Financial OfficerEquity Technology GroupPosition OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President & CEO. This role provides enterprise-wide financial leadership across Equity Technology Group and all subsidiary entities, including Equity Engineering, Equity Software, Equity Knowledge, CorrSolutions, and Equity Properties. The CFO plays an active, hands-on role in both strategic and operational finance, and serves as a visible steward of ETG's employee-ownership culture.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & Planning:Partner with the President & CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute multi-year financial strategy across ETG and its subsidiariesLead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processesTranslate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for the executive team and Board of DirectorsDesign and oversee incentive compensation plans, including annual bonus structures and sales commission frameworksFinancial Operations & Reporting:Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls across all legal entitiesManage relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and financial advisorsDirect the selection, implementation, and ongoing administration of financial systems and ERP platformsEnsure timely, accurate consolidated financial statements across the holding company and subsidiariesESOP & Employee Ownership Stewardship:Serve as a visible champion of ETG’s employee-ownership culture, both internally and with outside stakeholdersOversee ESOP plan compliance, annual valuation processes, and fiduciary responsibilitiesManage relationships with the ESOP trustee, plan administrators, and third-party administratorsEnsure compliance with ERISA requirements and annual ESOP reporting and disclosure obligationsTeam & Stakeholder Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team operating in a lean, multi-subsidiary environmentBuild trust and collaborative working relationships with subsidiary leadership teams across Equity Engineering, Equity Software, Equity Knowledge, CorrSolutions, and Equity PropertiesPartner with HR on payroll and HRIS integration matters as neededWork closely with the outgoing CFO to ensure a smooth, well-documented transitionEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field requiredMBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business preferredCPA or CMA designation strongly preferredRequired ExperienceBackground:10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with demonstrated advancement through roles of increasing scope and responsibilityPrior experience as a VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or Controller in a multi-entity or holding company environment; candidates ready to step into their first CFO role are welcomed and encouraged to applyHands-on background across all core financial functions - not solely a strategic or oversight roleExperience in professional or technical services industries preferred (engineering, software, or consulting a plus)Strategic Financial Planning & Growth:Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year financial strategies aligned with organizational goals across a diversified portfolio of business unitsExperience building and managing annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes at the enterprise levelTrack record of translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive and board-level audiencesExperience designing or redesigning incentive compensation plans, including annual bonus structures and sales commission frameworksOperational Finance & Cost Management:Strong command of financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls across multiple legal entitiesExperience managing relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and financial advisorsProficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms; experience with payroll and HRIS integration a plusAbility to lead and develop a finance team in a lean, multi-subsidiary environmentLeadership & Culture:Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build trust across departments and subsidiary leadership teamsComfortable operating in a hands-on environment that values practical expertise alongside strategic visionGenuine commitment to the employee-ownership culture and values that define ETGStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholdersHigh emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate a transition alongside an outgoing CFO committed to a successful handoffPreferred ExperienceESOP & Employee Ownership:Demonstrated familiarity with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), including plan compliance, annual valuation processes, and fiduciary responsibilitiesExperience working with ESOP trustees, plan administrators, and third-party administratorsUnderstanding of ERISA requirements and annual ESOP reporting and disclosure obligations #J-18808-Ljbffr
