Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization in Montgomery County that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This hybrid role offers exposure to a variety of accounting functions and is ideal for candidates with a background in public audit and assurance. Key Responsibilities Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and financial reports Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Assist with external audits and compile requested materials Analyze financial results and variances Support ad hoc analysis and operational data requests Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or actively pursuing preferred 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally from public audit/assurance Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems preferred Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation and Benefits $55,000-$65,000 Benefit offerings for full‑time employment include medical, dental, and vision coverage PTO is offered on an accrual basis Paid Sick Leave where applicable by State law Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, please navigate to the company website.
