Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support security-related operations with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting conditions that could impact personnel, equipment, and/or operations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify entry authorizations for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with site protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Support emergency and outage-related response efforts by assisting with site control, directing authorized personnel, and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
