Maintenance Technician II Reports to: Facilities Manager Location: Deckers Brands Distribution Center, Mooresville, Indiana The Maintenance Technician II, under general supervision of the Facilities Lead, performs a variety of skilled and semi‑skilled maintenance, modification, and repair activities in assigned maintenance operational areas, which may include buildings, conveyors, electrical, and related work as required. The position entails preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role works with AC/DC controls, PLC controlled equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electricity at voltages up to 480V. Responsibilities include managing minor projects, planning maintenance work orders, and providing training to lower grade levels. Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day direction to the maintenance team. Inspect work performed by others and review documentation on work orders. Perform skilled and semi‑skilled facility maintenance activities, including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repairing racking, moving office furniture, and related tasks. Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment. Perform minor electrical work such as running conduit and pulling wire. Follow lockout‑tag‑out procedures and other safety and environmental policies. Document all work order activities, including labor, parts, and inventory used, and close work orders to provide documented records. Trussle controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies, and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system. Use system software to troubleshoot, trend, and monitor conveyor equipment. Plan maintenance work orders and enter data in the computerized maintenance management system. Qualifications Approachable, team player, adaptable. Experience working around pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills, and industrial electrical systems. Maintenance related certificate or 2+ years maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. 3–4 years experience with conveyors, controls and operating systems of a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation. Proficient electrical troubleshooting; PLC experience a plus; robotics experience a plus. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings; ability to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting track record. Knowledge of Automatic Identification Systems (laser scanning devices). Experience managing competing priorities and multitasking in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Regarded as a system expert in at least one area (e.g., conveyors, printers, applicators). Strong project planning and project management skills. Knowledge of OSHA compliance and best practices. Experience with forklift and other power equipment preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Driver's License Forklift Certification Salary: $26.30 – $29.62 per hour (location‑specific and based on experience).
