Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant - Cardiology

Schedule:
- Typical schedule: 4x8 hours on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
- Possible Tuesday shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM to cover gaps.
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Assignment Details:
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Temp to hire opportunity.

Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) required.
- Preferred: 6 months of MA-C experience in an outpatient setting; cardiology experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Obtain and record vital signs, including height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
- Perform cardiology-specific tasks, such as obtaining 12-lead EKGs.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as needed.
- Prepare patients for examinations by positioning, draping, and recording medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Assist with office duties, including chart preparation, stocking supplies, telephone triage, follow-up calls, and scheduling support.

Compliance / Notes:
- Solid dark scrubs required (no prints).
- Reliable personal transportation is necessary.
