Technical Support EngineerLocation: TechM US Texas PlanoJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Cisco Routing and Switching (R S) Network Design. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in technical support roles, demonstrating expertise in network design, troubleshooting, and customer service. This contractor position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Responsibilities:Provide expert level technical support for Cisco R S network design and implementation.Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize network solutions.Document technical processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and clients on Cisco R S technologies.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and Cisco technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions.Assist in the development of network design proposals and presentations for clients.Mandatory Skills:Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching (R S) Network Design.Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner.Experience with Cisco IOS, NX OS, and related networking protocols.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with network security protocols and technologies.Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.Knowledge of cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are a plus.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.7-10 years of experience in technical support or network engineering roles.Proven track record of successful Cisco R S network design and implementation.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
