Director, Incident Response & Threat

Johnson & Johnson (DePuy Synthes) seeks a Director of Incident Response & Threat to lead global cybersecurity defense operations. This senior leadership role oversees incident response, digital forensics, threat intelligence, and Security Operations Center maturation across the medical technology organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead global incident response, forensics, threat intelligence, and defense engineering capabilities with accountability for detection through recovery
• Build and mature an automation-first Security Operations Center model integrating MSSP, retained services, and internal teams
• Direct complex cybersecurity incident investigations ensuring containment, forensic preservation, root-cause analysis, and executive reporting
• Develop, automate, and continuously improve incident response playbooks, escalation protocols, and crisis management procedures
• Oversee threat intelligence operations identifying emerging threats relevant to MedTech and translating intelligence into defensive priorities

Requirements

• Senior cybersecurity leadership experience with incident response program ownership
• Expertise in digital forensics, threat intelligence, and defense engineering
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale security operations teams and MSS partnerships
• Experience managing complex cyber incidents with regulatory compliance requirements
• Knowledge of MedTech or healthcare cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
• Proven track record developing incident response playbooks and crisis management procedures
• Executive communication and stakeholder management across IT, Legal, Privacy, and Business functions
