Reporting to the CFO, this leader will run the monthly close, own cost and inventory accounting, strengthen internal controls, drive process improvement, and prepare the accounting organization to support external and SEC reporting requirements.What you'll doLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close, delivering timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAPOwn cost and inventory accounting for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, variance analysis, BOM and WIP valuation, and inventory controlsManage the general ledger, technical accounting, and preparation of consolidated financial statementsDesign, implement, and maintain internal controls; support external audits and prepare the organization for SOX readinessDrive process improvement and automation across accounting operations to scale with company growthSupport external financial reporting, including SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) as the company maturesPartner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and manufacturing to inform business decisionsLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting teamQualificationsActive CPA license requiredProgressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including hands-on cost and inventory accountingStrong technical knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrated ownership of the accounting closeProven track record of process improvement and building scalable accounting operationsExcellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsManufacturing experience in the mobility space (automotive, motorcycle, EV, or related)SEC reporting experience (10-Q, 10-K)ERP or financial system implementation experienceCMA and/or a Master's/MBATeam StructureLeadership role reporting to the CFO; manages the accounting team and collaborates closely with FP&A, operations, and manufacturingRequired Experience10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing and cost/inventory accounting, with prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience; public accounting background preferredEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
