Norcal & Nevada Area Contracting Manager

We invite you to join our Controls teams in Northern California and Nevada as an Area Contracting Manager. In this role you will lead the Controls/Building Automation team, overseeing contracting fulfillment processes to achieve operational excellence and support strategic objectives. Responsibilities Drive revenue and profitability, achieving specific Annual Operating Plan priorities. Monitor performance and progress of the Area’s project portfolio to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Manage associate performance by monitoring effectiveness and efficiency relative to specific objectives and operating plan goals. Support the Regional Controls Operations Leader in delivering business results and sharing department vision. Facilitate strong collaboration with other Business Streams and functional leaders for greater inter‑departmental cohesiveness. Directly supervise assigned Controls fulfillment personnel. Identify project needs, assign personnel and develop detailed project plans. Act as primary interface between the customer, vendors, sub‑contractors and internal expertise within the sales and fulfillment organizations. Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions and communicating with customers and staff. Maintain high employee engagement through training, career development, dynamic culture and talent retention. Review and validate contracts and estimates, performing risk analysis and developing risk plans. Confirm Trane’s ability to meet performance and financial requirements by analyzing customer and project data before project acceptance. Lead local operations safety initiatives to establish and maintain a work culture that makes safety priority #1. Be flexible to work outside normal hours as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Business. At least 10+ years’ experience in building automation/controls, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of industrial and commercial HVAC systems and building automation systems. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with construction processes associated with the installation and implementation of building automation systems and mechanical/HVAC projects. Compensation Annual Base Salary Range: $127,110.00 – $205,000.00. Salary is incentive eligible but not commission based. Benefits Health insurance and holistic wellness programs.
