Staff Accountant

Job Description - Staff Accountant We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to provide temporary support to senior leadership during a high-volume period. This individual will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations while contributing to process improvements and special projects. Key Responsibilities Partner with senior finance leadership to support daily accounting activities and ongoing initiatives during peak workload periods Assist with financial tracking and reporting related to events or projects, including monitoring expenses and ensuring accurate budget reconciliation Maintain fixed asset records, including tracking additions and disposals, calculating depreciation, and ensuring alignment with the general ledger Support general ledger activities such as preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close processes Contribute to the review and enhancement of accounting procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows and support evolving accounting operations Serve as a knowledgeable resource by applying strong understanding of accounting principles and terminology Ensure all work aligns with internal policies and standard accounting practices (GAAP) Qualifications & Profile Strong foundation in accounting principles with hands-on general ledger experience Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes Prior exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Preferred Traits Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities Strong interpersonal presence-able to communicate effectively and build relationships across teams Professional and approachable demeanor, with the ability to work well in a people-facing environment Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
