Join to apply for the Staff Accountant (Remote) role at Atlantic Group Join to apply for the Staff Accountant (Remote) role at Atlantic Group Location: Remote Type: Perm (Contingency) Job #44880 Salary: $55,000 Job Overview – Staff Accountant (Remote): Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000/year + bonus Location: Remote Role (Eastern Time Zone) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant (Remote) to support our client’s daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and loan payment tracking in a high-volume fintech environment. This fully remote role follows Eastern Time (ET) hours and requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant: Journal Entries & Expense Recording: Assist with daily journal entries, data entry, and accurate recording of business expenses. Loan Payment Reconciliations: Reconcile automatic loan payments received from merchants and enter payments into the accounting system. Manual Payment Processing: Record manual loan payments into both internal software and accounting systems, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. Default Payment Tracking: Reconcile bi-monthly statements from collection agencies and record related data into internal and accounting platforms. Reporting & Support: Provide ad hoc reporting and assist with special projects as needed by the accounting and finance teams. Qualifications for the Staff Accountant: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: 2+ years in operational accounting with hands-on experience in reconciliations, journal entries, and daily data entry. Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, with familiarity with Workday preferred. Industry Knowledge: Experience in the merchant cash advance (MCA) industry is highly preferred. Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong analytical skills, effective time management, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
