Location: Reynoldsburg, OH (Onsite)

Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time

Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 per year

Reliance One is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our client's team in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, sourcing, or planning experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and building strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers. The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies while ensuring customer requirements for quality, quantity, and delivery are met. This role partners closely with estimating, engineering, manufacturing, sales, accounting, and field operations to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies while negotiating pricing and delivery with vendors.
• Serve as the liaison between corporate departments, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, jobsites, remote offices, and service/spare parts teams.
• Research, identify, evaluate, and select qualified vendors.
• Approve vendor selection and authorize purchase orders based on business needs.
• Follow internal procurement policies and purchasing procedures.
• Develop annual purchasing objectives focused on cost reduction and continuous quality improvement.
• Prepare detailed cost analyses to support bidding, outsourcing decisions, estimating, and budget planning.
• Estimate fabricated mechanical and electrical components for projects throughout the organization.
• Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely material availability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of purchasing, sourcing, or planning experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing or MRP systems; SAP experience is preferred .
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to support internal teams.
