Sr Federal Contracts Administrator

Peak Nano Films is formalizing its Revenue Operations function and is hiring a Senior Federal Contracts Administrator to own contract administration across Peak's federal and commercial portfolio. This is the role that keeps Peak audit‑clean on government money: administering federal R&D contracts and grant programs in full FAR and DFARS compliance, owning sub‑recipient and subcontractor documentation, and standing up the contract discipline that lets Peak scale its government and commercial revenue streams. Federal contracting experience, specifically with the FAR, is a requirement for this role so the candidate can ramp within the first 30 days of being hired. The successful candidate administers Peak's federal contracts independently, partners directly with the Director of Revenue Operations, and inherits an immediate book of work across Peak's program‑based and subscription‑based revenue streams (Optics-as-a-Service, Films-as-a-Service, and Film product lines) within their first 30 days. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline Working fluency with the FAR/DFARS, with direct experience administering federal contracts or R&D grant and cooperative agreements (DOD, DOE, NSF, DARPA, or comparable). The expectation is the candidate can own all federal contracts with little guidance/oversight. 3+ years of direct federal contract administration experience. Full‑lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) contract administration experience: proposal/RFQ support, negotiation support, award, modifications, invoicing, and closeout. Preferred Qualifications Experience across multiple government contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus (CPFF/CPIF), Time & Materials (T&M), and IDIQ/Task Order vehicles. Experience in a defense prime, government contractor, or regulated manufacturing environment. Strong written communication, process documentation discipline, and demonstrated ability to operate across multiple recurring cadences without day-to-day supervision. Familiarity with HubSpot, NetSuite, Smartsheet, Airtable, or SharePoint. Working knowledge of DCAA-compliant cost accounting practices: incurred cost, provisional billing rates, and audit support. Formal FAR/DFARS training or NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM). Advanced Excel; comfort with structured data models, pivots, and large workbook maintenance. Experience in advanced materials, manufacturing, or advanced-technology environments. Experience with subscription/SaaS-style revenue models (relevant to Peak's emerging OaaS scope) or multi-business-unit contract administration.
