Responsibilities
- Assess individuals across all age groups using standardized methods and observational evaluations.
- Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at achieving both immediate and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
- Implement personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on various aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Coordinate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and families to establish a unified care plan.
- Educate patients and families to encourage progress outside of therapy hours.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Enhance your skills through continuous education and professional exchange.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Therapist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.

- Expertise in evidence-based practices for a variety of age groups, demonstrating a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.

- Strong analytical skills and capability to make clinical judgments.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and the necessary documentation practices.
