Enrollment Clerk

To assist families and students with enrollment processes. The employee performs an array of reception, registration, and clerical duties essential to the department. Being pleasant, patient, self-motivated, and organized are musts for success in this job. Data entry, filing, reporting, answering phones, assisting staff members and the public occurs regularly. This position handles confidential information.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitate student enrollment, registration, and withdrawals, and report on enrollment weekly.
• Maintain student records and update data in the Student Information System.
• Assists with student transfer processes.
• Assists in maintaining documents, files, and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date student enrollment information.
• Assists with answering telephone calls, and providing information and assistance to callers.
• Assists in maintaining inventories of supplies and materials for the purpose of ensuring items' availability.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and present that documentation..

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Computer literate; excellent written and oral communication ability. Ability to follow all district policies and procedures. Ability to work independently, displaying initiative and enthusiasm for the tasks being done. Demonstration of strong communication skills, orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, team members, and administrators. Ability to work without supervision, and work as a team player. Ability to document records accurately. Ability to listen effectively.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English language. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Ability to give instructions in a professional manner.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and mathematical operations to essential functions of the position.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
