Quality of Care Investigative Nurse

This position conducts quality-of-care investigations. Investigations are conducted pursuant to contractual obligations. The role involves participating in assessments of member-centric and systemic quality-of-care concerns. The aim is to ensure member health and well-being. Timely and thorough investigations of all quality-of-care issues are required. This includes implementing corrective action plans. The position makes appropriate referrals to oversight and regulatory agencies. Participates in care concerns and related member issues as assigned. Maintains necessary documentation to support case work. Requests appropriate documentation for quality-of-care investigations. Ensures comprehensive case records are maintained to support allegation reviews and substantiation levels. As a result of the investigation, remediation or corrective action plans will be issued. Ensures that all investigative information and documents are uploaded to the designated system. Elevates cases and trend concerns as appropriate.

Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active license to practice as an LPN in the state Certifications: Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Must-Have: Strong critical thinking skills Proficiency with technological tools, including databases and Microsoft Office products Experience in producing professional technical reports and letters Strong research and analysis skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong personal planning, organization, and time management skills Experience with medical chart reviews Familiarity with the nursing process, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation Strong decision-making skills
