Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on operating screw machines and CNC machines to manufacture precision components used in hydraulic units, refrigeration units, industrial machinery, and farming equipment. The position requires hands-on machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality, efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Operate screw machines and CNC machines to produce components for hydraulic units, refrigeration units, industrial machinery, and farming equipment.
• Set up, run, and monitor Mori-Seiki machines, RoboDrills, and Davenport screw machines to meet production specifications.
• Use hand tools and machine tools safely and effectively during setup, adjustment, and routine operation.
• Inspect parts during and after production to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC and screw machines as needed to keep equipment in good working order.
• Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures consistently.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes, efficiency, and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating screw machines and CNC machines in a production or machining environment.
• Experience working with Mori-Seiki machines, RoboDrills, and Davenport screw machines or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving machining issues.
• Ability to use common tools safely and effectively in a shop environment.
• Capability to perform basic machine maintenance tasks on CNC and screw machines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts.
• Reliability and ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime when required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Automotive maintenance experience is a plus and demonstrates strong mechanical skills.
• Relevant technical schooling or vocational training in machining, CNC operation, or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new machines, processes, and technologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed. The shop environment is described as calm, cool, and collected, promoting focused and steady work. You will work in a machining and manufacturing setting with CNC machines, screw machines, Mori-Seiki equipment, RoboDrills, and Davenport screw machines. The facility supports a collaborative atmosphere where safety, organization, and professionalism are prioritized.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saukville, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
