Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced critical environment. They assess, monitor, and support patients while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safety and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive patient assessments, recognizing changes in condition and responding promptly.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, connect and monitor telehealth equipment, and manage clinical procedures such as IV insertion, Foley cath placement, and wound dressings.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
  
  
• 
  Report errors, near misses, and safety concerns according to protocols, serving as a patient advocate.
  
  
• 
  Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly.
  
  
• 
  Maintain professional appearance, take initiative, and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid California RN license verified through Nursys within the last two weeks.
  
  
• 
  BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications with current expiration dates.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bustling Emergency Department setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated understanding of pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulatory standards, and service line disease processes.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team, accepting constructive feedback.
