Pharmacist in Salem, MA

Pharmacists are needed to support inpatient pharmacy services at a hospital in Salem, MA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment with a start date ASAP for a 13-week assignment or longer.


Schedule/Hours:

• Variable day and afternoon shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and workflow
• Consult with physicians regarding medication therapy and adjustments
• Manage pharmacokinetics monitoring and dose adjustments using clinical data
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management and documentation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts Pharmacist license is required
• Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacokinetics and drug therapy monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare teams
