The Derbyshire Healthcare CAMHS Service has recently gained new investment to enhance the service to young people and families across Derby City and the South County. We have 2 band 6 posts in an established CAMHS Recovery team in Amber Valley, based in Ripley. We’re looking for caring, committed professionals to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Recovery team based in Ripley – whether you’re a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with experience in mental health. In this rewarding role, you’ll support children and young people up to age 18 who are experiencing a wide range of mental health needs, including trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental conditions, and self-harm. You’ll work with a compassionate, experienced team that provides thoughtful and effective care, using therapeutic approaches such as CBT, Family Therapy, and DBT. We support professional growth through regular supervision, development opportunities and strong team support. Responsibilities You will develop knowledge and skills working systemically with children and families within our multi‑disciplinary teams. We welcome mental health nurses currently working with adults who want to develop a career within CAMHS. Through robust supervision and training, you will develop knowledge, skills and experience within a CYP IAPT Service. The locality‑based model ensures strong team working and high levels of local knowledge. The team is supported by a Team Manager and senior clinicians. You will assess and treat children and young people with a wide range of mental health problems, including trauma, depression, anxiety and neuro‑developmental conditions, working with the CAMHS leadership team, medical consultants and multi‑disciplinary teams. Work with complex‑presenting difficulties and multi‑agency networks, ensuring evidence‑based care within available resources.
