As a Security Guard Hospital Patrol Specialist in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working with a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and activity at the location, verify authorized entry when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete routine reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and/or observations, and support Allied Universal team members and site personnel during daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
