Chemical Processor

This role supports the Wet Processing department in a manufacturing facility in eastern Indianapolis. The chemical processor operates production equipment, moves materials through various chemical processes, and ensures that finished parts meet quality and finishing standards. The position is available on both 1st and 3rd shifts and requires comfort working around chemical products and a strong focus on safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoists to safely move materials through various wet chemical processing stages.
• Use scratch pads and liquid solutions to remove visual defects and smooth finished parts.
• Perform thorough visual inspections of finished products to identify and correct wet processing defects.
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures while working with chemical products.
• Support other departments and assist with additional production tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Monitor equipment during operation and report any mechanical or process issues promptly.
• Accurately follow work instructions and documentation related to production and inspection activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general production or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to safely operate hoists and material handling equipment.
• Comfort working alongside and around chemical products while following safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail for visual inspection and defect detection.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and monitor production and finishing equipment.

Hours

1st shift - 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday - Friday (30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

3rd shift - 9:00PM to 7:30AM Monday through Thursday (Four 10-hour shifts) ***Will be training on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks***

Pay

$18/hr to $26/hr

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.
