Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required Must-Have: Experience with vents, titration of pressors, and insulin drips Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Step Down Unit on night shifts. The patient care ratio is 1:4. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. Experience in titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, and insulin drips is essential. This role involves care of ventilated patients and management of arterial lines. Candidates should be adept in troubleshooting alarm systems on ventilators. Weekend shifts of 2 per month are required. Floating to lower acuity floors may be required. No on-call requirements for this position. The unit manages adult patients needing high acuity step-down care. Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services and pharmacy. This position requires knowledge of various special procedures and equipment. Candidates must have been in a bedside role within the last 6 months. Compliance with additional health and safety regulations is expected.
