About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Telemetry/step-down experience required, ECG knowledge and cardiac drip management experience Description: RN Tele/Step-Down position available in a high-risk cardiology unit. Ratios are 1:4-5 for patient care. Every other weekend coverage is required. Candidates must possess ACLS and BLS certifications. No call requirement for this position. The clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending licenses are accepted. No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract. Telemetry and step-down experience is essential. Proficiency in various cardiac-related skills including managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration is necessary. Key patient diagnoses include heart failure, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome, valve disease, and more. Special procedures in this unit include cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, echocardiograms, and stress tests. The facility supports a multidisciplinary team including physical therapy and social services. This is a mixed telemetry and PCU acuity unit. All travelers are required to comply with testing and documentation prior to starting the assignment. Modules must be completed before the start date to avoid delays.
