Responsibilities: Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; record entries. Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit as received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments; coordinating purchase order amendments. Assist with maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Maintain historical records by scanning and filing documents. Notify appropriate personnel of payment discrepancies and verify correction Review source documents for completeness and accuracy Review incoming invoices and payment request documents for approval authority Return unauthorized documents by identifying error conditions Schedule and prepare checks and EFTS Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
