Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Shift: Day - 3x12 Hours: 0700-1930 36 hours per week

Assignment Details:

• Contract Weeks: 13
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Certification as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Initiate the computerized Plan of Care upon patient admission.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments under appropriate supervision.

Compliance / Notes:

• Participate in required education for applicable programs.
• Other related duties as assigned.
