Cost Accountant

Seeking a Cost Accountant to support manufacturing finance by analyzing production costs, managing inventory, performing variance analysis, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role partners with production and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close. Key Responsibilities Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead. Perform cost and variance analysis with actionable insights. Support month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting. Manage inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and audits. Monitor production costs, inventory transactions, and AP-related issues. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and financial policies. Prepare cost reports and support new product costing. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.
