Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in Telemetry. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. On-call duties may be required. The unit is a 34-bed facility that provides modified total patient care to general medical/surgical patients and surgical oncology patients. It serves various age groups, including young adults to geriatric patients. The unit is equipped to maintain 24-hour cardiac telemetry monitoring. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. The staff comprises charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians. Chemotherapy administration is performed on this unit; therefore, certification is required for those administering it. Ideal candidates will be outgoing and team-oriented to fit the unit's culture. Dress code includes navy scrubs. The unit has received several awards for excellence in nursing care. Staff members will benefit from working with new equipment and technology in a collaborative environment. Understanding age-appropriate considerations in patient care is essential.
