Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday requirement
• Patient ratios: 1:2 standard, 1:1 for higher acuity patients, 1:3 for med-surg/floor status patients
• 16-bed SICU plus 2 additional procedural beds
• Must have experience with high acuity patients and ICU populations
• Required to titrate drips including epinephrine, norepinephrine, propofol, precedex, vasopressin, and others
• Care for cardiovascular surgery patients, trauma patients, and various surgical specialties
• Float to MICU or serve as patient observer when not needed in SICU
• One day system orientation followed by two unit orientation shifts
• Must complete skills checklist
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO desired but not required
• No specific scrub color required, clean and professional dress code
• Must clock in and out at facility
• Cerner charting system
• Level 2 trauma center

Facility:

This medical center serves as a tertiary care facility providing comprehensive healthcare services including cardiovascular surgery, trauma care, and various surgical specialties. The facility features a 16-bed SICU with additional procedural beds, 24/7 intensivist coverage, and respiratory therapy support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care with specialized equipment including ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO capabilities.
