As our Crisis Response Team Lead, you will provide clinical, administrative, and operational oversight for the Crisis Response Team (CRT) within Southlight's Raleigh Hub. This position is responsible for supervising crisis staff, ensuring high-quality crisis intervention services, coordinating daily operations, supporting community partnerships, and maintaining compliance with applicable state, Medicaid, accreditation, and agency standards.
The Team Lead promotes trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, person-centered care while ensuring timely and effective responses to behavioral health crises in community and facility-based settings. Schedule Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm. Pay $26.44 + per hour, based on credentials. SouthLight is also an approved employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. - Provide clinical oversight and guidance to crisis team staff (coordinate daily staffing and scheduling for crisis coverage and facilitate team meetings)
- Conduct chart audits and quality reviews (monitor key performance indicators and program outcomes)
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with hospitals, law enforcement, EMS, community providers, managed care orgs, and social service agencies
- Supervise clinicians, qualified professionals, peer support specialists, and support staff
- Provide direct crisis intervention services when clinically or operationally necessary by assisting with assessment of suicide risk, homicide risk, and psychiatric instability
- Support staff in managing high-acuity behavioral health crises
- Coordinate hospitalization and emergency referrals when appropriate
- Participate in hiring and interview processes
- Master's degree in Human Services field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing, or related behavioral health field)
- Min 3-5 years' of behavioral health experience
- Min 1-2 years' of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Experience in crisis services, mobile crisis, emergency psychiatry, ACT, CST, or community mental health strongly preferred
- Full or provisional license, full licensure preferred (LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, LMFT/A) or RN with psychiatric experience (LCAS/A acceptable as secondary credential)
- Valid driver's license
- CPR/First Aid required upon hire
- Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills
- Knowledge of suicide prevention and risk management
- Ability to lead in high-stress situations
- Knowledge of community behavioral health systems
- Familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care
- Ability to collaborate with community partners and emergency systems
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
