Social Worker (LMSW) – Outpatient Behavioral Health

Location: Southgate, MI
Shift: Days, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

• Full License: $29.47–$39.67/hour
• Limited License: $27.22–$36.63/hour

Some evening or weekend hours may be required. Flexible scheduling is available.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct intake evaluations and provide direct treatment for adults and families.
• Assess and document client needs related to mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Provide individual and group therapy.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, family members, and other service providers.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical records and agency documentation.
• Coordinate discharge planning before case closure.
• Complete 24 hours of training in treating adults with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Maintain state licensure and follow professional ethical standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Applicable State of Michigan licensure: LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, or LLP.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with or treating individuals diagnosed with mental illness; fieldwork or internship experience may count.
• Must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential within 120 days of hire.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with a diverse population.
• Candidates requiring visa sponsorship cannot be accepted.
