Nursing Responsibilities:Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients by providing the following:Administer medicationsPerform medical intakes and assess if patient is fit for incarceration, as neededRespond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when neededCheck and/or change medical dressings as required by the medical providerPerforming 14-day physicalsManaging chronic careProviding patient education on health concernsResponding to medical emergenciesBe capable of performing life saving measures and ability to take charge and give direction in an emergency.Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including but not limited to drug reaction/overdose, formulary/non-formulary medications, and knowledge of medication costsBe able to provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel, as needed.Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulationsLocation: Floating to various correctional facilities throughout the NE part of Indiana.Candidate must live in the state of Indiana or nearby in a neighboring state (and be licensed to work in Indiana).Shift Opening(s): Availability for dayshift and nightshift and weekends. Travel accommodations provided with potential for company vehicle, as well.
