This direct hire opportunity is tailored for a certified Pharmacy Technician eager to take on a dynamic, travel-based role serving various healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia. The role centers on acting as a vital liaison between pharmacy operations and multiple long-term care facilities throughout the designated territory, ensuring the delivery of exceptional medication management and client support.


Key Responsibilities:

• Foster and maintain strong working relationships with facility leadership, staff, and pharmacy teams.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned facilities, addressing their medication therapy and compliance needs.
• Support facilities through training sessions on pharmacy systems, medication protocols, and compliance standards.
• Conduct monthly onsite visits, reporting on service success and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate services efficiently and handle client inquiries.
• Perform medication room inspections, medication pass observations, and prepare facilities for surveys.
• Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and introduce new products tailored to client requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland are required.
• PTCB certification is highly preferred.
• Background in long-term care pharmacy or a similar setting.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software, particularly EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
• Reliable transportation for travel to multiple facility locations across the region; occasional overnight stays may be necessary.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Rare weekend work; flexibility to accommodate audits and later shifts when required.
• 40-hour workweek.

Travel Details:

• Facilities span across Virginia cities including Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, and others, as well as select locations in Maryland.
• Mileage and hotel accommodations when necessary are covered by the employer.
