Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various types of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Diesel Technician will work independently and collaborating with other technicians to deliver high-quality service.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct repairs that range from basic maintenance to in depth engine repair.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a service technician or in a similar role focusing on diesel engines.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and automotive repair techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
