About the Opportunity

Medina Network Technologies (MNT) is hiring a dedicated Onsite Deskside Support Technician for a long-term assignment at a Fortune 500 electronics manufacturer's corporate office in North Dallas. This is a contract-to-hire role with a clear conversion path: 12 months as a 1099 contractor through MNT payroll, then conversion to a full-time salaried W-2 MNT employee with benefits at month 13, contingent on satisfactory performance.

If you're an experienced deskside technician tired of hopping between clients, dispatch trips, or dead-end helpdesk roles — this is a stable, single-site, professional corporate assignment with a defined career path.

About the Role

You'll be the on-the-ground face of IT for the client's Dallas staff. You are their first call for anything IT-related — Windows laptop issues, M365 problems, hardware failures, new-hire setups, printer jams, MFA re-enrollments, and everything in between. You'll work alongside the client's remote support team, who handles L3+ escalations (network infrastructure, servers, enterprise identity, security incidents).

You'll own your queue, own your escalations, and own the relationship with the users at the site.

Location & Schedule

·         On-site 5 days per week at the client's Dallas facility (must reside within 45-mile driving radius)

·         Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time

·         10 US federal holidays observed

·         No on-call rotation; no after-hours coverage unless specifically requested and paid at premium

What You'll Do Every Day

·         First point of contact for all walk-up and dispatched IT tickets at the site

·         Windows 10/11 laptop support: imaging, re-imaging, drivers, patching, OS troubleshooting

·         Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint client), VPN clients, MFA re-enrollment

·         Hardware swap-outs: laptops, docking stations, monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets

·         Printer and multifunction device support (driver installs, queues, basic hardware)

·         Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC-D): new-hire provisioning, separations, workstation relocations

·         Basic Active Directory / Entra ID / Intune tasks (password resets, group membership, device

compliance, Autopilot enrollment)

·         OEM warranty ticket coordination (Dell, HP, Lenovo) for onsite parts replacement

·         Asset tagging, inventory reconciliation, and endpoint lifecycle handling

·         Documentation: every ticket resolved is documented; clean escalations to the client's remote support team when needed

What We're Looking For (Required)

·         3+ years hands-on desktop/deskside support experience in a corporate Windows environment

·         Solid Microsoft 365 troubleshooting skills — beyond just being a "user" of Outlook and Teams

·         Working knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID account operations

·         Comfortable with Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint management concepts

·         Hardware skills: laptop swaps, dock setup, peripheral installs, printer fixes

·         Professional demeanor and communication suitable for a Fortune 500 corporate office

·         Ability to pass a background check (7-year criminal, employment and education verification) and 10-

panel drug screen

·         Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

·         Reliable transportation and residence within 45 miles of Dallas 75244

Preferred

·         CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent

·         Microsoft MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator Associate) or willingness to earn it in Year 1

·         Prior experience in a large enterprise / Fortune 500 deskside environment

·         Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar)

·         W-2 employment through MNT — no 1099 tax headache, no self-employment tax burden

·         Consistent 40 hours/week at $30/hour ($62,400 annualized)

·         Paid biweekly through MNT payroll

·         Clear performance path to conversion — you'll know exactly where you stand at Months 3, 6, and 9

At conversion to direct-hire (Month 13):

·         $62,000 annual base salary

·         Company-issued phone stipend and mileage reimbursement for any off-site tasks

·         Career pathway within MNT: potential progression to Senior Technician, Network Technician, or
