Residence Hall Director

Job Title Residence Hall Director Location Lincoln Tower (0271) Position Type Regular Scheduled Hours 40 hours per week Shift Varying shifts; weekend and evening hours required; on duty rotations; required to live on campus. Key Responsibilities Oversee operations, residential experience, and community engagement within a residence hall or complex. Utilize the Residential Curriculum to foster personal development, considerate communities, and global responsibility. Initiate, plan, and implement community development events. Supervise student staff and provide advising on social, academic, and behavioral concerns. Adjudicate conduct cases and manage crisis situations and conflict resolution. Oversee budget and financial operations related to the residence hall. Contribute to student leadership development by supervising undergraduate and/or graduate-level student staff. Advise student organizations. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/education. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Desired Qualifications Master’s degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or related field. 4-8 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in Residence Life. Additional Information Summer start time frame anticipated. Starting pay range: $44,400 - $58,000, based on equity, budget, and qualifications. Ohio State will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
