Traveling Orthotist New Chicago, Illinois, United States; Travel Position

Job Summary We are currently looking for a Nationwide Traveling Certified Orthotist based out of Chicago, IL. This is a full‑time position for someone who wants to practice in a variety of Cranial Technologies locations across the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to work outside of traditional orthotics in a niche, pediatric clinical outpatient setting exclusively with infants and their families. Travel Requirements Do love to fly and travel around the United States? The role requires: Travel to any state where we have a Cranial Technologies clinic; we’re currently in 32 states and are continuing to grow. Typical travel on a Monday afternoon/evening; a clinic on Tuesday‑Friday and fly home Friday afternoon/evening. Home every Saturday and Sunday. Receive your travel schedule more than two weeks in advance. Travel every week, either to a local clinic or to another state. Candidates close to a major airport are preferred. Cranial Technologies pays for travel expenses and provides a per diem for your time there. Work Environment Do you thrive in fast‑paced and new settings? You will: Be in a different clinic each week, working with new teammates and building relationships across the company. Take over a caseload for another clinician, meaning you meet new families regularly. Clinical Role As a clinician, you will treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®. Pediatricians and parents look to our clinicians as experts in evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and misshapen ears. Our clinicians develop great relationships with families at every stage of their treatment process. We hire from various backgrounds: PTs, OTs, registered nurses, certified prosthetist‑orthotists, and certified orthotists—all bring relevant experience and hands‑on patient care. A background in pediatrics is preferred but not required, as we provide a formal training program with mentoring. Skills & Qualifications Certified Orthotist. State‑issued REAL ID or equivalent TSA‑accepted travel documentation. Authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available. Benefits & Compensation We offer: Pay range $90,000 – $100,000 plus additional travel bonus; dependent on experience. Quarterly performance bonuses and annual raises.
