Slot Attendant
Provide service to patrons. Handle and settle complaints of players. Verify and pay off jackpots. Reset slot machines after payoffs. Make repairs or adjustments to slot machines or recommend removal of slot machines for repair. Safeguard the confidential information of all department and company records and assets. Circulate throughout assigned areas to ensure that players are following rules and that machines are functioning correctly. Exchange currency for customers, converting currency into requested combinations of bills. Answer patrons' questions about gaming machine functions and payouts. Accounts for wallet funds. Witnesses verify slot jackpots. Perform minor repairs or adjust slot machines, resolving problems such as machine tilts and un-jams tickets and bills in slot machines on slot floor. Approves and verifies jackpot payouts. Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission. 1-2 years of experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations about the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draws valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.
Work involves lifting, walking, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, climbing. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times. The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level. Will occasionally work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
