HR Generalist Human Resources Location: Kentwood/Grand Rapids, MI Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Salary: $60,000$80,000, depending on experience

The Opportunity Kelly Services is seeking an Associate HR Generalist to support a growing Oral Care operation in Kentwood, Michigan. This position provides hands-on HR support to employees and leaders across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, engagement, and day-to-day HR operations.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, performance, attendance, and workplace concerns.
• Support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary issues, and performance concerns.
• Partner with hiring managers on recruiting, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Support performance management, employee development, training, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information while supporting HR reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with leave management, accommodations, employee documentation, compensation planning, and benefits-related questions.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, and other leaders on workforce planning, organizational changes, and HR initiatives.
• Support GMP requirements and understand how HR practices and processes impact a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Manage HR administrative responsibilities including employee communications, timecards, badge access, incoming mail, production locker assignments, and employee service programs.
• Monitor the HR communications mailbox and ensure employee questions and requests receive timely follow-up.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience with employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR compliance.
• Manufacturing, operations, or regulated-environment experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment practices and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters professionally.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
