Social Services Tech II / Peer Specialist
Thomasville, GA | $16.00/ Hour
We are seeking a Social Services Tech II / Peer Specialist to provide peer support and recovery focused services to individuals receiving treatment. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment related needs, facilitating support groups, coordinating access to community resources, and advocating for individuals to ensure they receive appropriate services and support. The role promotes recovery, independence, and overall well being through peer engagement and service coordination.
Responsibilities
- Provide peer to peer services to individuals receiving treatment
- Assist with case management activities
- Facilitate group sessions that encourage peer support, recovery, skill development, and positive social interaction
- Provide service linkage and advocacy by connecting individuals with appropriate community resources
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services
- Previous work experience preferred
- Minimum age 21 years old
- Valid Driver’s license
- Clean MVR
- Able to complete the agency’s required Crisis Prevention Intervention course
- CPS Certified or willing to become certified
Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:45 pm – 11:15 pm, weekend rotation
