As a School-Based Therapist, you will be embedded in the dynamic environment of K-12 schools, making a lasting difference in students and families by promoting resilience and supporting wellness within diverse school communities. Work Schedule Shift: Monday - Friday, during school hours, fully onsite/in-person. Duration: 10 months during the school year, paid over 12 months. Time Off: Paid time off during all school breaks (fall, winter, spring, and summer - including the whole month of July). Salary Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer hours will be prorated. Payment varies by licensure and experience and is paid bi-weekly. Unlicensed Therapist: $56,387.92 – $73,304.29 per year. Licensed Therapist: $61,844.64 – $83,373.58 per year. Unlicensed Psychologist: $64,129.15 – $76,461.69 per year. Licensed Psychologist: $91,136.21 – $108,662.41 per year. Bilingual Differential Pay Eligible employees who pass a language assessment receive a fixed differential of $3,000 per calendar year, paid bi‑weekly, prorated based on hire date and FTE. Essential Functions Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life in clients with behavioral health concerns by providing clinical services, case management, and education, and creating consistent treatment plans. Conduct diagnostic assessments and individual, family, and/or group therapy with assigned clients. Develop, monitor, and update treatment plans at required intervals. Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to coordinate care. Provide clinical case‑management services and crisis intervention as appropriate. Deliver comprehensive clinical services to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life. Assist clients in evaluating strengths, setting goals, and developing coping skills. Offer consultation to community partners and providers. Ensure billing information is up‑to‑date and seek insurance authorization for services as required. Write reports and correspondence with appropriate releases. Complete credentialing activities and maintain timely information for third‑party payers. Collaborate with the care team to monitor and coordinate client care. Qualifications Unlicensed Therapist or Psychologist Master’s or Doctoral degree in professional counseling from a program accredited by CACREP or CSWE. Must obtain a mental health Candidate Permit (e.g., LPCC, PSYC, MFTC, SWC/LSW) within 30 days of hire and actively pursue an independent clinical license (LPC, LP, LMFT, or LCSW). AMHR will provide quality supervision for clinical hours toward licensure at no cost. Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience providing care to the appropriate client population, including diagnosing, conducting intake assessments, and delivering individual, family, or group therapy. Knowledge of theories and evidence‑based practices related to clinical treatment. Ability to learn and utilize an electronic health record with proficiency. Solid understanding of mental illness and treatment modalities within a multidisciplinary approach. Knowledge of DSM‑5. Ability to respond effectively to all client presentations and crisis situations. Ability to document interactions with clients, other agencies, and mental health professionals. Licensed Therapist or Psychologist At least two years of clinical experience providing care, including individual, family, and/or group therapy. Professional licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD) – or equivalent licensure in another state with intent to transfer. Colorado Licensure Requirement: If you currently hold an out‑of‑state license, you must obtain the appropriate Colorado licensure through DORA within 30 days of hire. Required Vaccination and TB Test All employees must receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and provide a negative TB test result before the first day of work.
