Human Resources Generalist II Location: 25 - HINDS COUNTY, MS About the Position This is a time limited position. The State of Mississippi Department of Health seeks a Human Resources Generalist II to support agency-wide HR operations. The incumbent administers and processes contract worker agreements, ensuring compliance with state laws, regulations, and MSDH policies. The role serves as a primary resource for contract-related matters, providing guidance and technical assistance to agency programs, offices, and districts. Responsibilities Review, process, and maintain contract worker agreements. Coordinate contract renewals, amendments, and terminations. Maintain accurate contract records. Process contract worker actions in MAGIC EC. Provide guidance and technical assistance on contract-related matters. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 0-2 years of HR experience, preferably in a public‑sector environment. Knowledge of state labor laws and HR policies. Proficiency with HR information systems. What You'll Need to Be Successful Strong multitasking, adaptability, and flexibility.
