Bookkeeper Position

Our client is seeking to hire a bookkeeper to join the company's finance team. The company is a privately held, well established company in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee and are affiliated with diverse entities that operate in the real estate development space as well as the hospitality, healthcare, restaurant, retail, insurance, and banking industries. We are looking for a candidate who can work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. General Purpose: Maintain multi-entity financials and support finance team.

Essential Job Functions

This company expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:

• Prepare and submit financial reports on a timely basis as required by the Director of Finance, the company, and governmental agencies for restaurant, retail, real estate, and other related entities.
• Accumulate and maintain organized, pertinent documentation supporting all entries on the financial statements.
• Preparation of budgets and cash flow statements
• Health Benefits reconciliation, monthly billing, and payments
• Monthly TNTAP tax filings
• Utilize Quickbooks, and various types of POS systems
• Monthly parking billings to businesses/tenants and reconciliation of payments
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3-5 years of accounting experience. Skilled accountant preferred.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Problem-Solver and prior employee oversight experience.
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
• Proficient at MS Excel and General Ledger accounting software
