Patient Biller, Specialty Billing

The full-time Patient Biller, Specialty Billing will perform hospital billing and follow-up functions remotely, ensuring accurate billing, resolving claim edits, and managing denial issues in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Key responsibilities Perform hospital billing and follow-up functions, resolving claim edits and ensuring accurate billing Track, trend, and resolve denial issues for assigned payers and service lines Work with system-generated claims and record requests, addressing credit balance accounts and denial management Required qualifications HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) within 120 days of hire Minimum of 4 years of hospital billing and collection experience, including specialty billing functions Experience with hospital billing information systems and understanding of UB04 field requirements Knowledge of medical insurance rules and regulations related to hospital billing Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding principles #J-18808-Ljbffr UC San Diego (Regents of the University of California)
