What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour interactive life skills and social‑emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K‑8 students covering areas such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's defined framework. Conducting daily motivational check‑ins that ensure 100% of students reach their weekly application targets through age‑suitable incentives including school currency and performance leaderboards. Developing Guides via direct observation, specific feedback, and practical coaching so they execute sessions with identical energy and accuracy as you model. Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint students requiring support, then providing direct intervention. Personally mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides. What You Won’t Be Doing Creating lesson plans or building curriculum. Students progress via adaptive apps; your responsibility is making the people supporting them exceptional. Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You're 80% entertainer, 20% content expert; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this role isn't the right fit. Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or school leadership. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full support to maintain that standard. Spending time in an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides. Waiting extended periods for performance feedback. Outcomes are visible in real‑time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately. You may establish a completely new campus from the ground up and set the cultural foundation that will shape the school. As the location develops, your emphasis transitions from operational startup leader to coaching manager, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach throughout your area. Basic Requirements Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available) Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred; conventional teaching certifications are not sought) Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance‑related termination decisions Established experience coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and performance Direct experience working with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts Competency using data and performance metrics to inform decisions and support ongoing improvement Legal authorization to work in the United States Nice‑to‑have Requirements Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly motivated children to achieve quantifiable goals Background coaching adults in positions where performance was monitored and evaluated Confidence performing before large groups of children. The type of presence that commands attention in a room full of 8‑year‑olds. Employment Details This is a full‑time, long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
