Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist (Property Management) Location: Camden, NJ Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 | Full-time | Monday-Friday Benefits: Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Career growth opportunities About the Role As an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you will ensure your community meets all HUD, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and affordable housing compliance regulations while supporting residents through the leasing and certification process. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in property management compliance. You'll work closely with residents, property managers, and compliance teams to maintain accurate documentation and deliver a strong resident experience. Key Responsibilities As an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you will: Process applications, recertifications, lease agreements, and renewals in compliance with HUD and LIHTC guidelines Guide residents and applicants through the affordable housing qualification and leasing process Maintain accurate files and complete compliance reporting and documentation Ensure adherence to HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations Support rent processing, security deposits, and financial tracking Partner with property management to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance Qualifications To be successful as an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you should have: 2+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing (100+ units) Experience with HUD Section 8 and/or LIHTC compliance (preferred) Strong data entry and administrative accuracy Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Bilingual Spanish is a plus Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Tax Credit certifications (COS, TCS) preferred or willingness to obtain Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance Flexibility to support occasional evenings or weekends About Conifer Realty For 50 years, Conifer Realty has developed, owned, and managed nearly 13,000 apartments across 150+ communities.
